The NETGEAR GS108 has quickly become the backbone of my home network. Installation was as simple as plugging in the power and connecting network cables—no software, no configuration, no headaches. All 8 ports auto-sensed gigabit speeds and provided fast, rock-solid connections for everything from desktop PCs to NAS boxes and smart TVs. The metal chassis feels reassuringly robust and looks tidy in my setup. It’s completely silent thanks to the fanless design—perfect for noise-sensitive rooms or home offices. I’ve pushed large backups, streaming, and file transfers through it with zero slowdown; the switch effortlessly keeps every device moving at full speed. It’s compact, energy efficient, and so reliable that I never have to think about it—a true “set and forget” device. If you want to painlessly expand your wired network with consistent performance, this little switch is a top pick for both home and small office environments. Review: Brilliant Piece Of Kit - I bought this Netgear GS108 switch to replace my 5 port GS105. Not that the GS105 was faulty, on the contrary it has given 24/7 365 days for 15 years of service with an uptime of 99.99% (just a restart once a year and a couple of power cuts). All I needed were the extra ports. The GS108 with the same build quality I'm expecting the same longevity. An excellent product backed by years of experience, I have no problem giving 5 stars to this. Delivery was quick from desertcart and setup was as easy as unplug the old switch and plug in the new one then reconnect all the ethernet cables and leave it to do it's own thing quietly in the background - easy as pie. If you need an unmanaged switch - look no further. ## Features - GIGABIT ETHERNET PORTS: Features 8 x 1.0Gbps Ethernet ports for high-speed connectivity.
