Have you ever wondered "How did that artist do that?" This book has a wealth of exercises that will change the way you look at color, as well as show you how to paint a wide variety of atmosphere phenomena and "special effects" including glow, backlighting, and transmitted light. And so much more. I find myself turning to it again and again, you can spiral back to a section a year later and find new things to learn building on the first encounter. It's elegantly written, similar to the style in which the author paints. Absolutely beautiful!
