(Pardon the pun). It does state that magnets with a force of three 3kilos or above are extremely dangerous in the wrong hands, and two together if ingested could be life threatening. I personally think this magnet has sufficient power to use around the house with a force of 1kg. Health & Safety has definitely taken priority when you see how well this magnet is protected with a durable thick plastic case & metal keeper attached, very thoughtful indeed when storing away. The magnet weighs 78.8 grams without the keeper or cover.
