In addition I have marked an A4 size using a craft knife to score a line. Hope this helps. **Q: What exactly is this for? How does it help you with painting?** A: It is a viewfinder. You look through it to decide which bit to use for your picture. It helps you choose your composition it is essential! You can also use the small holes to compare values with. You hold it up and look at the sky through one small hole and you place the other hole on let’s say the grass and then you can compare which is lighter or darker. Also if you want to analyse a colour it is easier to isolate it by looking through one of the small round holes. Basically it is a view finder, and I never go anywhere without mine. You can make one with cardboard but it gets soggy if you’re painting outside a lot. It's very firm plastic so it won't break, and you also get a printed sheet with hints and tips on how to use.
