It literally clicks in and out of the wiper arm but I struggled initially to get it out of our BMW118 (F40 2019-2024 series 1). A bit of Googling suggested running a screwdriver under the blade and applying gentle pressure to release it. 30 seconds later the old blade was out, another 10 seconds and the new blade was clicked into position and working perfectly. No more smears or streaks. I was quoted £35 to replace this by a dealer so my £8 was well spent. Other on-line prices were up to £19 plus delivery so this was a great buy.
