I was bit concerned as the watch is marked as 50mm diameter which is a lot larger than I normally wear. My wrists aren't particularly big and a 43mm sits quite nicely. To my surprise this watch doesnt look to big at all. It actually looks just right. Other than that it has all the standard features you'd expect. The auto light is a brilliant feature. Note. You have to activate this feature manually. It also deactivates after a number of hours to save power. The display can be hard to read at times as it is inverted LCD but I find difficulty with this as others have mentioned. Highly recommended. Review: Big, chunky everyday watch... Perfect! - I deliberated over this and a couple of other G-Shock watches because of the comments regarding the ability to read the negative display. I love the look of it, chunky and rugged, ideal as an every day watch. As for the negative display I can't deny that in some lighting conditions it is more difficult to read than the conventional style display but not too difficult that I can't live with it. The dual LED lights more than make up for it in complete darkness because they can be set to automatically illuminate when you turn your wrist towards you. (6 Months after purchase)** A: I wear this watch every day and every where and have worn many G-Shocks over the years - I normally get about 6 to 8 years out of every G-Shock before I need to change battery - so I have no idea. **Q: What is the strap made from** A: Both the case and the strap material of the Casio G-Shock watch is Resin. **Q: Is strap replacable? Is it smooth or knobbly? (I don't want something that will irritate my easily-irritated wrist skin!)** A: Their are sites that sell the replacement straps for Casio, but rare you will need to. KNOBBLY or more accurately ridged. Strap is Silicon rubber so sweat, the same as metal is the most irritant factor. One and only dislike is the display, it’s really difficult to see unless you’re in a well lit area. Have to keep putting on the light to see the time and I know that’s going to run the battery out very quickly. Solar power would have been a better option!!!
