Review: OXO Good Grips Microfibre Hand Duster. - I bought this particular, hand duster. I had read an article, giving proffessional advice, on the best type of duster to use. I already know that microfibre, is rated very highly. I also know that this make, has good reviews. It's not my first, microfibre hand held duster. I had another make before. They have come a long way, in the quality and effectiveness, of microfibre dusters. They work in a similar way, to the old feather duster. Trapping dust, almost magnetically. This one has a good grip. Hence the name. It is about 18" (46cm) long from each end. The handle is 7.5" you can work that one out. 4.5" width of duster. It is quite flat. Has a popper on the end of the duster. That clips on or off the stem. The fabric is very soft. Almost similar, to one of those, multi fibre mops. You just slide the duster off. To wash or change. I have tested it on a few surfaces. It can catch on rough ones. It cleaned between the slats, of my portable radiator, very well. Under the t.v., mirrors, tops of doors etc. Window ledges. I am 5' 3" and l can reach, low ceiling lights with it. My problem is, that l have three parrots. I have developed a cough. That's not good! I have to be extra vigilant, with the animal dander. A soft cloth, is not enough. Even after cleaning the surfaces daily. I used this today. There was a fine layer, of parrot dander. Over everything. I never use chemical sprays, polish etc. Only damp cloths. I prefer steam cleaners. However, l don't want to wet, all my surfaces daily. I cannot use chemicals, with the birds, anyway. In the bathroom and kitchen. I use a professional, none toxic cleaner. White vinegar is good. Added to a fine mist spray. Or onto a damp cloth. I personally, would not put this duster, into a washing machine. I just gave it a good shaking outside. When it needs a wash, l would rinse under running water. Dry it naturally. No detergent. It's dust! Not grease. My last one lasted 20yrs. This one is a lot softer. I like the cheerful colour. Microfibre can be a bit harsh. I would not use them on delicate objects. Like ornamental treasures. Then l would use, a very soft cloth. You know, those dusters. Or a computer magnetic mop. A few fibres came off, whilst unwrapping. That was due, to it having some sticky binding tape. Around the handle. I highly recommend, this duster. If after more use. l need to add a foot note . I will...I ordered from Prime last night. It arrived today. A worth while purchase. You can also get replacement dusters.
Review: Dusts everything in sight! - So far so brilliant Dusts everything in sight! I didn't buy it for small gaps (have a thin duster for those) but the lovely fluffy head it perfect for surfaces, tables, books... I haven't had to wash it as the hoover pipe cleans the dust and cobwebs off. Bit worried that washing might felt the fluffiness and mat the fibres, will have to see at some point

**Q: How do you clean the OXO microfiber?**
A: IMO it’s a waste of water, detergent and energy to try washing the cover. Someone else answered that you should avoid washing with non-microfiber items because the material will get stuck in the cover fibers and clog it all up. I don’t disagree. The cover is never going to be effective again once the strands get stuck together because washing it will not get them unstuck. I’ll go even further by noting that my experience has been that the strands will almost certainly get stuck together well before you try washing it. If there’s even the slightest bit of humidity when dusting it causes the dust to bond to other dust as well as the cover strands. I’ve experienced this with three different covers and washing them has never helped at all. I don’t think this is a design flaw. Aside from those that live in super dry climates, I presume this happens with most any duster. That’s why they sell replacement covers. My advice is to just buy a replacement. They’re less than $8 and also available with Subscribe and Save for even cheaper.

**Q: Would this fit into a1 1/2 inch gap under my TV**
A: yes.....I'm 78 years old and this is the best 'duster' I've ever had.  It fits all kinds of small, narrow spaces.....love it.

**Q: How many times do you use it before having to replace the microfiber for a new one? If ever? I saw they also sell them separately.**

**Q: Can this be attached (screwed onto) to an extension pole for harder to reach high ceilings?**
A: unfortunately you can't, I did however just tape the handle to an extension pole and still got the job done.

So far so brilliant Dusts everything in sight! I didn't buy it for small gaps (have a thin duster for those) but the lovely fluffy head it perfect for surfaces, tables, books... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🧼 Great but not perfect.

It’s easy to use, very sturdy and collects a lot of dust. I’ve been using it to get to hard to reach places like under shelves, under the fridge and behind the radiators. It does have a few flaws though. On one side the red fluff is a bit longer which means if you’re using it in a tight space under things that bit often gets caught and results in a cleaning tug of war with your furniture. It does lose quite a lot of its red fluff when you first use it. I’d recommend vacuuming this before you use it, thirdly while the end is removable and washable mine immediately got so matted with dust that even washing it hasn’t made all the dust come out. It basically looks quite disgusting and there’s nothing I can do to de clog it. I tried vacuuming it and washing it to no avail. Overall it’s good, it has an easy to hold handle and it does trap dust. Sadly it’s not perfect though.
