## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this only work on laminated flooring or can this be used with carpet ???**
A: I have carpets and it works very well

**Q: Could a rat or mouse chew through this? Also would it damage a wood floor by scraping on it when you open doors?**
A: I think a rat or a mouse would make short work of chewing through these. As for damaging the wooden floor, that is a very good question the part that touches the floor is silicone and as such it will actually make no difference to the wood surface unless you have it sealed with a polyurethane varnish and even then it would only add shine to it.  These are a good product, if time is taken to fit it and any rise or fall in the floor surface or the door as it opens is taken into account. Sorry about the rodents though, maybe a silicone covered metal one would be better if there is one for sale somewhere.

**Q: would it work for garden doors?**
A: I think depends on the garden door and the floor behind. If the door is flat and dry, the glue will stick but it might need a retouch from time to time. If the floor is hard is better so unwanted animals cannot dig a hole under the strip.

**Q: Can this keep out mice?**
A: Probably as it's very stiff. But mice could sneak round the edges unless you fit it very flush to the sides and the base of the door. Mice are very determined and if they really want to get in they would slowly chew this, but it would take weeks and you would see the ragged edges. Give it a try.
