Ordered this to add another dimension to my songwriting.  I was reluctant to spend a fortune on one as I wasn't sure that it warranted such an outlay and conversely I was not keen on buying one that was more of a toy than a musical instrument.  after reading the available reviews I plumped for this one and I am glad that I did.  This is the perfect compromise.  It is inexpensive yet still sounds fantastic.  All of the notes ring out perfectly and as far as I can tell the intonation is spot on.  I would not hesitate to recommend this for anyone looking to start learning the glockenspiel; a great introduction to tuned percussion!

I like the fact that it’s self contained. It’s got a great tone and seems to be quite well tuned. Also quite loud. The mallets are a horrible plastic but cheap enough to replace with wooden. One or two of the keys didn’t ring very well hit it only took a light tug to pull them of the pads a little. All in all, a great little instrument and a lot of fun. You can get some really pretty tunes out of it.
