It does dry eventually. When it finally dries it is like concrete. If you need a nail strengthener I recommend sally Hansen miracle cure. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bit of kit! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 May 2026* I love Sally Hansen products and this is no exception. For me, the handle is a bit slippery and awkward to hold, so I just wrap a small elastic band around it to give it some grip. The brush is a good size and length for a really decent application, and you can do the 3 strokes per nail thing. It dries quickly, as long as you haven’t used too much, and it gives a pretty, natural look on its own.As a base coat it’s brilliant, and it really does prevent dark colours from staining your nails, and gives the polish something to stick to. As a top coat, you get a lovely level of shine and it does reduce wear along the edge and chipping, especially if you use it under the nail as well as on top. It will also smooth out and small imperfections, so if you have a slight fingerprint or maybe texture print from material in your varnish, they can disappear. One thing I would say is to wait for each coat of base coat, varnish, and top coat to dry completely before moving onto the next to get the best results. All-in-all a great product.
