VULCAN VTZ910 Men's Matte Black 'Street' Motorcycle Leather Protective Jacket with CE Armor - 3X-Large

Like wearing the drivers seat out of a 1984 Toyota truck this jacket is rigid. I've been wearing it as much as I can but I can assure anyone that it will require a ton of break in to get comfortable. Build quality appears to be extraordinary and I have little doubt it is a lifetime quality product that makes you earn it. Fits me well (5'9/ 170lbs) Medium size jacket. Like other buyers I am mildly shocked by the 18 logo zipper tabs that say "VULCAN" in searing orange, but instead of cutting them off just grab that black Sharpie and color them in as they are handy with gloves on. Armor is top notch and winter liner has sleeves as well, which is nice. Amazing amount of venting and tremendous levels of fit adjustment for sleeves really hits the mark. If you happen to have a cruiser and a cafe/sportbike this jacket is the first I've ever seen that can be adjusted for mellow cruising and turn right around and do a track day with the sleeves locked down around the armor! The only issue I have is crying over how stiff it is but, as with any leather jacket, You know what you are going to be in for! Raise your arms? Choke yourself with the priest collar. Need to scratch your nose? Might as well pinch the poop out of your inner arm. Need to catch a baby falling out a window? The strength needed to fight the jackets stiff resistance will endanger that baby's life. All in all, I'm very happy with it and once broken in I am certain I will no longer be afraid of upper body attacks by dogs, lions, lasers, knifes or bites from the walking dead. You may laugh at these speculative revelations but trust me. Buy one and you will not give two poo's about fire or emus or even bears while wearing this automotive upholstery grade coat.

The fit is just right. A lot of vents and pockets here. Nice padding and liner.Downsides- the tassels.Dear, lord. The tassels. Every single zipper pull has "VULCAN" on it. And believe me, there are a lot. I wish they were blank instead of being a walking advert, but I just replaced them with leather pulls. The other big complaint is one I saw in the comments. The smell. When it first arrived, it smelled wonderful. Actually smelled like leather. A few days after it started to have a pungent, bitter smell. Almost like a skunk. I assume it's the dyes but I've had this for 6 months now. Between wearing it riding and airing it out, it still has the funny smell. And it is STRONG

Had a problem with the first one I ordered, as the inner lining piece had a poorly-sewn button. I hoped Leather Up could send me out just a replacement inner liner piece but unfortunately they told me they did not have any. I had to instead return and reorder. 2nd one seems to be fine. Still a bit nervous about the inner lining's buttons but so far no issues. Jacket is heavy but keeps me warm on the bike. Temperatures are about 55 degrees right now for me and the jacket is making the ride very comfortable. The zippers are a little distracting at first but I got used to them. Helpful for zipping while wearing gloves. Overall, great jacket.

this is the most adjustable fit and vent ever. The yellow stiching with the dull tough thick leather has a great look. sleeves presewn to a riding stance, waist and bottom edge same. great storage but limited openings in the face to allow cold seepage. I did need to remove some of the zipper pulls and use a wide tip black sharpie to blot out most of the rest of the bright yellow lettering. otherwise you look like a walking Vulcan ad. but you can't blame them for being proud pf this product. Litterally the best riding leather I have ever owned.

Well-built, very tough jacket. With all the vents I’ve felt quite comfortable while moving on a warm day. In temps below freezing, with the vents closed, I’m just as comfortable. When I was first putting it on, I was concerned that it (an XL) might be too tight, however, I quickly determined that it fits just right. Not too loose...not too tight...kind of like a glove. Others have noted the arms being long, but I have long arms so it fits me just fine. I removed all the silly orange zipper pulls and replaced ‘em with plain black higher quality pulls. Shoulder and elbow armor are nice. Back armor seems a little thin but not bad...I may replace that eventually. Overall, very, VERY, pleased with this buy.

Amazing heavy leather jacket.Heaviest biker jacket I've owned. This thing is bad a**.Everybody and their brother has a standard bomber/Brando kidney belt style, dime a dozen.Dare to be different.BTW, the 18 or so bright orange branded zipper pulls are kinda gay. I cut them off and replaced with a plain black set for 5 bucks.

Yes this jacket is really heavy but I feel so protected and mostly comfortable wearing it. I removed the liner and it still provided a ton of warmth and wind protection. I wish the arms were shorter but I'm also a shorter rider. Looks cool and wife approves. I wear large shirts and I'm glad I got the medium. Makes me look thinner and is perfect around waist.

Really needed a size 4X, but Amazon only had a 3X. Read other reviews and a lot had the same complaints. Yes the arms are a little long, it does have a smell but not as bad as others said, just let it air out. Jacket is very heavy. Taken it out for a few rides and can’t complain. Riding in cold weather and stayed warm the whole time. If I got hot, there are plenty of vents to help with air flow. Other than getting the size I wanted, the jacket is great. Yes I would recommend this to others.
