In fact, I would encourage everyone to just order the larger size. We drive a medium size SUV and the truck size fits exactly right with no overhang at all. The smaller size would be way too small. This is a very standard car seat cover. It is well designed and easy to put in the car with clips in all the right places. It is a little padded, which my husband commented did make shaking it out after the ride a little more complicated because of the extra bulk - not a deal breaker - and the sides come up to cover the side windows if you have a reactive dog. Our senior dog likes to watch traffic so we folded the sides under. This cover also comes with a seatbelt, but I'm not sure if it is crash test rated, so we just continued to use our own. It is a nice addition for those people who aren't using one at all. I did notice that dog hair and debris did not stick to the fabric at the end of the ride when my husband shook the cover out.
