A truly beautiful thing! I recently went to Tulum and tried to bring back one of these in my hand luggage but it was confiscated by the airport security. Apparently I needed to put in my checked luggage as can be used as a weapon she said???Anyways, I ordered this one and it is heavy!!! And a real authentic. Volcanic rock. I di have a slight chip posible damaged in transit. But its not a big deal! I followed the steps to ‘cure it’ using sea salt and then garlic… ease of grinding, and easy to clean. I can’t wait to use at my guacamole night!

My wife absolutely loves it! She first saw one when we dined at a Mexican restaurant in NYC whilst on holiday - they prepared the guacamole table side, so we had a good view - a little research later and we understood better why this traditional way of preparing guacamole is preferred. It takes a little more effort to make this way, but the resulting guacamole makes it worth the extra effort!
