Review: Does exactly what it says on the tin! Very pleased (replacement card for my Dell Precision 5510) - Never purchased or replaced a wireless card in a laptop before, so was a bit apprehensive about it all. Did all my research, of course. I needed to replace my failing wifi card in my aging Dell Precision 5510 (wifi kept disconnecting randomly). This upgraded wireless card (newer wifi standard, etc) works perfectly. Stable connection now, and faster connection speeds to my router! Very easy installation process, although I did need to search separately on the internet for those steps and videos. Not so much for the wireless card installation, but more for my specific Dell laptop (how to take off the cover, where to locate the wifi card, etc). It's also important you download the new required driver for this card from the Intel website first, and have it waiting on your laptop to install after the physical installation of the card. Even though the driver software comes on a small CD with this card, my laptop does not have a CD drive, so that was pretty much useless to me. My Dell laptop needed two types of screw heads to take off the underside plate, then to be safe you have to disconnect the battery (just carefully unplug the small delicate ribbon power cable), take off one screw holding down the card, then carefully pop off the two antennae wires from the existing card (they look like very tiny stud snap/pop fasteners like you'd find on a coat!), carefully pull out the existing m.2 card, pop in the new one and then work backwards through your steps to get everything back in place (remember which way round the two black and white antennas go back on!). I thought I'd put all that in this review, as it might be helpful to someone at some point in time. Anyway - very pleased with the purchase. Thank you.
Review: Great wifi upgrade but needs Windows 11 to show the 6 GHz band - Following an internet upgrade to the gigabit speeds, I got a new wifi 6E router and needed to upgrade my 5-year old wif 5 laptop. AX210 seemed a better solution to an external dongle. I have only seen wifi 6 dongles, not 6E. Hence I got AX210 and replaced the old AX201 in the laptop. Not too difficult. I installed the drivers from the Intel's website directly prior to mounting the card in the laptop. To be able to see the 6 GHz band, the computer must run Windows 11. The card still works on Windows 10, but you will only see the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. I get respectable speeds, up to 930 Mbps downloads and 110 Mbps uploads. This is on the 6 GHz band. Slightly lower speeds on the 5 GHz. The average speed in the adjacent room is over 800 Mbps, but can sometimes get to the full speed. So, good upgrade. Works as intended.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it compatible with Lenovo z50-70 laptop?**
A: The new Wi-Fi card will fit the slot where your current Wi-Fi card is installed. Do not expect speeds above what your current memory and hdd read/write are capped at. For example if you have a hdd with 100MBs read/ 100MBs write capabilities, that is your limit on your Wi-Fi Download/Upload speeds assuming you have a an ax AccessPoint and your ISP is providing you with 1Gbps Bandwidth plan. (FTTP) Fiber to Ethernet Media converter at 1Gbps that your AccesPoint WAN port is connected.

**Q: After fitting and installing drivers, no bluetooth. Any help?**
A: Double check antenna are connected to card and update drivers to latest version

**Q: Is this wifi card supported by FreeBSD?**
A: Linux Kernal 5.10 and higher support the AX210 chipset
The device shows as 0x8086 / 0x2725 / 0x001A / 0x0024 on my system which is PCI ID - vendor/device/subv./subd.
This appears to be supported in FreeBSD 13.1 though I have not tried it myself.

**Q: it is compatible for asus tuf 17 amd ryzen 7 5800h**
A: Hi, the product is compatible with window10/11 and can run on window10/11 system device vendors.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great wifi upgrade but needs Windows 11 to show the 6 GHz band
*by P***N on 17 January 2023*

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awkward to install as the connectors are delicate
*by C***P on 29 September 2025*

Works great. Was difficult to install as the antenna pins are delicate. It comes with an installation screw if you are adding the connectivity for the first time instead of upgrading one. When I first installed it on my Windows 11 laptop only the Bluetooth worked. I have to get the driver installed for the WiFi too start working. All my Bluetooth devices had to be repaired, and I couldn't remove the old ones at first. Turned out I had to delete the old device, which removed the old device listings. Upgrading my laptop to WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 from WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 for only £21 was definitely worth it.
