I feel the four foot leash is ideal, especially when training a young dog in learning manners and rules on a leash. The length keeps them close at hand, yet gives the dog room, and for me, the weight of the leather makes manipulating the leash easier. But also, I think compared to other leather leashes I've seen, these are exceptional in quality. We also have a six foot one. I would highly recommend these leashes.

I have purchased a few of these leashes, for myself, then friends and family. They are beautiful and well made. I feel the four foot leash is ideal, especially when training a young dog in learning manners and rules on a leash. The length keeps them close at hand, yet gives the dog room, and for me, the weight of the leather makes manipulating the leash easier. But also, I think compared to other leather leashes I've seen, these are exceptional in quality. We also have a six foot one. I would highly recommend these leashes.
