However, I live out in the country where there seem to be many feral cats. I was feeding them out of disposable plastic storage containers, but wanted something better for them. I wanted stainless steel and something heavy enough that wouldn't blow over in a thunderstorm. These bowls are great. They are small, but they do indeed hold 2 cups of food and the weight is great - not too light and not too heavy. The rubber coated bottom of the bowl is just PERFECT. It keeps the bowls from moving around on the front porch during a storm and they don't tip over easily. Furthermore, they are easy to clean - a big plus in my book!
