I can't believe it's 4.8" thick MISSLEADING ingo = no sale** A: Must be a typo. Here's what I measure: It's 3/32" at its thickest and 1/16" near the ends before it tapers to a thin edge. The length is 5.5" and is 1/2" wide. The V-notch on the ends is too small for the job I had ordered it for but I kept it for future smaller tasks. **Q: What material is this made of ?** A: Security Engineering has contributed the word "steel" for the Detail Page for the material for this product. This contribution has not been accepted by Amazon. Someone else has control over this listing. Thus, "plastic" remains, indefinitely, as a monument to stupidity.
