The gel provides excellent water resistance so they can be used in damp locations with confidence. I use them for all my low voltage communications/control connections in outdoor enclosures . Very easy to use just insert wires into the body of the connector and crimp ... DONE! The teeth in the connector not only provide excellent connectivity between the conductors but they also provide grip on the insulation as well making the connections very sutrdy, they will not pull out once crimped.
