I found with some hard drives it is better to shut the computer off before switching them out... May just be me, as I seem to find all the problems in electronics, but it did corrupt the software on one hard drive, which of course could have been something with that hard drive or something I did...Only takes a second or two to shut the computer down and is worth it to me to be able to switch hard drives without opening the computer up and fighting with a lot of wiring and installation... Upon further troubleshooting I found that the problem was with the hard drive I was using. It apparently decided to chose the exact moment that I was testing out the bay to die. But I have since installed this and tested it out on several other drives and it works just fine. The main reason that I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the SATA cable and the power plug are not modular which can be annoying when trying to install it.
