I've used it to make Chilean empanadas as well as apple and blueberry turnover pastries. It's sturdy and easy to use, easy to clean, and I love the way gives such a clean cut around the edge. The metal rings are very helpful in rolling out the dough to the right size, but after a while you might be able to just estimate the size as it gets trimmed off anyway. On the other hand, I have some ideas for using the rings for some other baking uses.
