There are three Wi-Fi configuration methods available. - 【Support Uploading to Internet】: When finished Wi-Fi configuration, Wittboy is capable of sending your sensor data to select internet-based weather services, such as Ecowitt Weather, Weather Underground, Weather Cloud, Weather Observation Website (WOW) or Customized Website(Supports uploading to your customized website, if the website has the same protocol with Wunderground or Ecowitt). - 【Graph/History Records on the Website & Email Alerts】: supports uploading all the sensors data to our free Ecowitt Weather server(ecowitt.net) to view all the data graph and download the history records on the website; Email alerts functions available for wittboy weather sensor. - 【NOTE】The daily rain deviation of WS90 is very small in the long run, but under certain conditions the deviation could be larger: As the rain drop size and wind speed can have different impacts on the sensor output which lead to this variance. The WS90 product suffer from this imperfectness. If you are very demanding on rain data accuracy, we recommend you purchase WH40 and use it with WS90. If there is no precise requirement on data of each rain, then WS90 is just fine. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09TZZTYPK | | Additional Features | Dual-Power Supply, E-mails Alert, Haptic Rainfall Sensor, IPX5 Waterproof | | Best Sellers Rank | #15,271 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #31 in Weather Stations | | Brand Name | ECOWITT | | Color | White | | Connectivity Technology | Radio Freqeuncy, Wi-Fi | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars (209) | | Display Type | NO Display | | Frequency | 915 MHz | | Included Components | GW2000 Gateway; WS90 Outdoor Sensor Array; Bird Spikes; Instruction Manuals | | Is Used Where | Indoor, Outdoor | | Manufacturer | ECOWITT | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model | GW2001BU | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | GW2001 | | Power Source | Outdoor Sensor：solar Powered Or Battery Powered； Wi-fi Hub: Usb Cable | | Recommended Uses For Product | Farm, Garden, Home | | Sensor Technology | Solar | | Shape | Rectangular | | Specific Uses For Product | Indoor Gateway: Temperature/Humidity/Barometric Pressure; Wi-Fi&Ethernet; Supports ECOWITT Various Sensors; IoT‑enabled, Outdoor Sensor: Temperature/Humidity/Piezo Rain Gauge/Wind Speed&Direction/UV Light/Solar Powered. | | Style Name | GW2001BU | | Temperature Accuracy | 0.5 °C | | Upper Temperature Range | 140 °F | ## Product Details - **Brand:** ECOWITT - **Color:** White - **Connectivity Technology:** Radio Freqeuncy, Wi-Fi - **Included Components:** GW2000 Gateway; WS90 Outdoor Sensor Array; Bird Spikes; Instruction Manuals - **Material:** Plastic - **Power Source:** Outdoor Sensor：solar Powered Or Battery Powered； Wi-fi Hub: Usb Cable - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Farm, Garden, Home - **Special Feature:** Dual-Power Supply, E-mails Alert, Haptic Rainfall Sensor, IPX5 Waterproof - **Style:** GW2001BU ## Images ![ECOWITT Wittboy Weather Station GW2001, Includes GW2000 Wi-Fi IoT Hub and WS90 7-in-1 Outdoor Solar Powered Weather Sensor, Supports WU/WeatherCloud/Wow/Ecowitt Servers, 915 MHz - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51wTIDGtTWL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: If I put this on the pole above my house, is there a way to safely ground this so it doesn't get fried during a storm?** A: Considering this is a battery powered device with no wires going to it, I would think you could simply install it on a fiberglass pole and not have to worry about lighting at all. **Q: Can you provide detailed instructions on how to update the firmware on the WS90. Thanks** A: HI, friend. Thank you for putting forward your question. About updating the firmware of WS90, please refer this linik : https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsDetail/249 I hope this information could be useful for you. **Q: If I wanted to monitor 16 plants can 2 of these units be operated in close proximity to each other?** A: I'm not sure what "2 of these units" you are referring to. This is under the Wittboy section at Amazon. But yes you can use multiple gateways each monitoring 8 soil sensors. But you will have to manually configure each gateway to specific sensors. **Q: Is the wind both speed & gust? Is total rain available in the app with out any internet? Is this station good for remote camping?** A: I use my older Ecowitt without internet. It reports via rf to ecowitt module which puts it onto my netork. Then raspberry pi zero w that is running Weewx and gets the data that logs everything and displays it in graphs for day, week, year. Not sure if this newer version is supported by Weewx or not but worth looking into. ## Frequently Bought Together - ECOWITT Wittboy Weather Station GW2001, Includes GW2000 Wi-Fi IoT Hub and WS90 7-in-1 Outdoor Solar Powered Weather Sensor, Supports WU/WeatherCloud/Wow/Ecowitt Servers, 915 MHz - ECOWITT WH51 Soil Moisture Sensor Soil Humidity Tester - Accessory Only, Can Not Be Used Alone - ECOWITT WN31 Wireless Multi-Channels Thermometer and Hygrometer Sensor, Temperature & Humidity Gauge with LCD Display, Dip Switches to Switch ℃/℉(Not use as Outdoor temperautre and Humidity Sensor) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/470183450-ecowitt-wittboy-weather-station-gw2001-includes-gw2000-wi-fi-iot](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/470183450-ecowitt-wittboy-weather-station-gw2001-includes-gw2000-wi-fi-iot) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
