**Q: How do these stones compare to less expensive stones, like those from King?**
A: Whilst we will not comment on other sharpening stones. Our Kamikoto Toishi Sharpening Stone is a 1000 grit and 3000 grit sides giving you the opportunity to grind away at the rougher edge produced over multiple uses of a knife and polish and finish the edge of a blade.

This along with the bamboo stand allows you have a sharpening stone that you can leave on display in your kitchen.

**Q: Does it works for the Japanese black ceramic knives?**
A: I believe so it is a regular sharpening block, just should need less sharpening. They say those knives don’t work with the knife blocks they sell though.
