Yeah, it'll handle your home owner mower. **Q: Can a pipe be fitted into the hole by the pedal so you can raise it by your hand instead of your foot?** A: It's possible. The foot pad is 2 1/2 inches in width so, you could fit a pipe or PVC tube over it. The foot pump works with ease and is very easy to operate and raise my mower. I found this a very well built lift that works very well. **Q: All my fluid leaked out, can i refill it somehow? if so, what do i use?** A: I’m pretty sure you’ll have to use hydraulic jack oil. It’s strange that the instructions don’t mention that, or how to refill.
