**Q: Did the molds you purchased smell of petroleum even after washing them?**
A: Yes, they had a strong smell right out of the packaging. I washed in hot soapy water, and then filled the molds with water and microwaved as instructions say to remove the odor. The odor went away, and is not an issue.

**Q: Do these leave a flavor or scent on the baked goods?**
A: I have used these a few times and have not had any issues. I can't speak for every one of them. But so far have not had issues. Just makes sure they are thoroughly washed before you use them to ensure a better product.

**Q: Are they fda approved?**
A: Ys

**Q: Are these half of a sphere - in other words if I made two of them and put them together would it be a ball or would it be misshapen?**
A: they will create balls if you use a very thin layer between the two

I really liked this product. It is super easy to use and worked great for making chocolate domes. I am 13 years old and like to bake, my brother got me this for Christmas and it is AWESOME! It is great quality and is very durable. The first time I used it I was really scared that all the chocolate would crack when I was trying to get it out, but the material it’s made out of allows you to push on the bottom to easily slide it out. Overall I was very satisfied with this product!
