It's also great to put on the microwave turntable instead of a plate or to cover food in bowls temporarily. It slightly overlaps the edge of my toaster oven baking tray, but it works just fine. The instructions say you can use it up to 500 degrees F. Easy to clean with soap and water. I store it with my small baking trays to keep it flat. I have one other Silpat product as well -- they're pricy, but good quality. I don't know why I didn't think of this before.

**Q: The description clearly states “Made in France.” Are buyers still saying that this is made in China? Where is it made?**
A: The description now (9/2021) says, "Designed in France, made in China."

**Q: Do these fit flush in the bottom of normal 9" non-nesting cake pans (like chicago metallic or fat daddio)?**
A: I just received them, along with two Wilton pans that are supposedly 9-inch. Unfortunately the pans are 8 1/2 inch at the bottom. If you already have some 9-inch pans they will fit. The mats are actually 8 3/4 inch, allowing them to fit in normal 9 inch pans. If you already have 9 inch pans, measure to make sure that they are actually 9 inches at the bottom and if they are, then you should be fine.

**Q: Made in france? my 9” came today, says made in china. quickly returned**
A: I have long since recycled the packaging and there is no "made in" labels on the silpat itself. I have used them many times and I have had no problems with them.

A: Sorry I bought it as a gift for someone else. I don’t have any information about it.

I have been using Silpat liners for cakes a few years now. I gotta say these are amazing. I have them in 8” and 9” rounds and have baked a bunch of cakes. I have yet to have one stick yet. I basically grease the sides really good and also grease the silpat liner with butter. My cakes release great every time. They are also very easy to clean. I just rinse and scrub them really good with hot water and soap. To dry them I fold a paper towel a few times and swipe across them lightly to remove excess water. I then hang them for a few hours to air dry. Great value and super easy to use. Way easier than cutting parchment paper every time you bake a cake. They will last a very long time so to me they are a great investment and a must have.
