The supposedly better one has a front you can twist to cover the front with. The trouble is although that part functions well, the tape jams and slides off the plastic platform. I've promised myself to buy an upgrade from a Better Brand. I'm not investing in bic writeout. Ever again! Maybe amazon basics has one. Good luck!
