The blue anodizing makes it easy to find the tool in a pile of stuff and makes it really easy to read the various marking on the tool, especially compared to tools that have just embossed markings in metal.The best thing about this tool is it is a great circular saw cut guide for 90 and 45 degree cuts. The thick aluminum provides a wide edge for the base plate of a circular say to run along. The 1" flange on the base makes it easy to hold the tool against the lumber being cut. And the large size means it can be used on stuff up to 10 inch nominal lumber.
