The standard slim keyboards provided by Apple with desktop purchases used to have one or more USB ports. (It no longer functions properly.) I also wanted a full size keyboard, because I wasn't crazy about the mini keyboard — especially because of the number keys and the delete key only went in one direction. This keyboard is light to the touch when I type, but has some weight to it, so it doesn't move around while I type. It looks good with my Mac and my keyboard shortcuts work the same.I made sure to follow the directions when I first hooked it up as other reviews recommended. The Mac will want to map to the new keyboard. After I did that it worked fine, except that the Caps lock and Function lock lights didn't come on. So, I figured — since I had it plugged into a USB Hub — that I just needed to unplug and replug it back in. That worked. Now the Caps Lock light seems to come on properly. However, there's no problem with the lights when I plug it directly into the computer.Other than that I really like this keyboard and plan to buy another for home use.EDIT: The caps lock indicator didn't stay on in either case. it would eventually become nonfunctional, which can be a problem when I need to log in and can't see what i type. The company, sent me a replacement and i am glad to say it seems to be working better (but it still does go out at times).
