**Q: I have limousine dark rear tinted windows on the back of my car will the rear camera still work ok?**
A: It will still work, you can turn up the Rear Brightness to help compensate but it will still be a bit darker than normal. Many thanks

**Q: Should there be a cigarette lighter adapter in the box?**
A: No, the camera comes with a hardwire cable, which enables parking mode. There is a cig lead optional extra, but that doesn’t provide parking mode. There are also a couple of OBDII cables which also enable parking mode, but they don’t work with all vehicles.

**Q: can this be hardwired (so no visible cables) and does it drain the car battery, please?**
A: Yes it can be hardwired, the only part of the wires you can see are where it plugs into the camera, and no it doesn't drain the battery, this is my second Thinkware dash cam and I can park my car in a car park for three weeks and the battery is still fine

**Q: dose this use a sim card like the thinkware t700**
A: NO SIM CARD WITH THE Q1000. It requires a WiFi Network to connect to so the 'Live view' etc can operate. The T700 is the Only Sim Card version available. Many thanks

### ⭐ Great when it works — but completely ruined by app issues and useless support

This product could have been great. When it works, the camera quality and features are genuinely impressive. But unfortunately, all of that is completely overshadowed by the app and support experience, which is honestly a disaster. After a few updates, the app simply stopped connecting to the dash cam — no matter what I tried. I contacted customer support, hoping for a solution, but all I got was a mindless loop of copy-paste replies telling me to “reset your phone,” “reset the device,” “forget the Wi-Fi,” and “try again.” I followed every single instruction, multiple times, on different phones, across different app versions and regions — nothing works. Support feels like talking to a robot, endlessly repeating the same useless advice without ever addressing the actual issue. At this point, I genuinely don’t know if the problem is with the app or if the device is just broken, and frankly, I’m tired of wasting my time figuring it out. A product this expensive should not rely on such a fragile and poorly supported app. Deeply disappointing.
