I am sure for some folks it would work but it is not enough like SILK to work for us. I've used it for YEARS. I don't drink a lot of milk of any sort, so having powdered milk in my cupboard is economical and convenient, I don't waste the leftovers after going sour in the frig. I can cook with it also since it isn't sweetened or have added flavoring like vanilla. I saw the 2-star review. Its unfortunate they didn't try the product before taking it on vacation, they probably would have done better with the vanilla version.
