I was a little worried when I read the instruction manual before I ordered, that it may be too complicated. Many Chinese radios I've had were difficult to master due to the clunky nature they set up the menu's and keys. I completely did everything with this radio without the need for the manual! Very nicely sized radio, with many useful features. You have high and low power settings, with with the original rubber duck antenna, I left the radio on Low as high with a rubber duck doesn't give you much of a gain, but probably would with an external antenna. Battery life was petty good, probably better than the other CB handhelds I have that use AA rechargables. About the only thing this radio doesn't do is SSB, but I haven't seen any handhelds that can do that.
