The "cola" scent just smells disgusting, like chemicals. Instead of drinking water from a cup that fools your brain into thinking you're drinking cola, you're drinking water from a cup that stinks so bad you get a headache. It has remained under my son's bed, in the box, wrapped in plastic (to hide the stink) since they got it. We tried it once and never touched again.Update: I take the reviews that I write for items that I purchase pretty seriously. I wouldn't ever want to post an untrue or hurtful review just to be a jerk. So, when I gave this cup a 1 star review, it was because it deserved a 1 star review. This cup is expensive, it smells terrible-like chemicals, and gave several people in our home a headache. I understand the concept of odors influencing your sense of taste however, when the odor is a disgusting chemical stink, you aren't going to fool your brain into thinking you're drinking cola. Here's where my new issue with this product and the product's sellers comes in. After my review was posted, I received an email from the sellers ASKING ME TO CHANGE MY STAR RATING SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE WILL STILL BUY THEIR PRODUCT!!! What!?! That's so dishonest and a really crappy way of conducting business! So to reiterate- DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY AND A PIECE OF JUNK. The 1st few drinks it tastes like an unsweetened cola. Which is good but after a few uses the taste is gone.
