Review: Works great directly on gas stove - I have used a George Foreman electric indoor grill and a Cuisinart griddler for indoor cooking before getting this stovetop Iwatani grill. This grill is much easier to use because you just place it on top of your gas stove. It produces grilled food closer to an actual grill compared to the electric ones. This small version doesn’t hold a lot of food but quickly cooks thin cuts of meat and vegetables so you can eat and cook at the same time. I also tried two boneless chicken thighs which took up the whole cooking surface and they took linger to cook but turned out great. I recommend this small size version for an individual or couple. It is easy to clean because of the nonstick surface.
Review: My Bulgogi was charred perfectly, like a Korean BBQ restaurant! - Finally got that charred/burnt crisp that I was looking for...... that my Techef BBQ grill (rated higher) never got. The nonstick is good, not sure how long it will last. The back of the grill plate is very challenging to clean and I'm struggling through this. It would be perfect if they made a stainless steel version, where I can use a steel brush to clean it and then pop it into the dishwasher.

I have used a George Foreman electric indoor grill and a Cuisinart griddler for indoor cooking before getting this stovetop Iwatani grill.
