It is sweet and you cannot tell in anything I have cooked with, that it is not sugar. I only like the confectioners though as I find the granular too grainy for my preference and does not dissolve, but the confectioners works perfectly. I use the confectioners in everything. My entire family loves it. I wish I had not waited so long to try it. I use this for all of my keto cooking including fudge, hot chocolate, cookies, pies, cakes, everything that you would use regular sugar in and it works great. If you are looking for a sugar substitute I recommend swerve confectioners to try. Everyone tastes are different, but I am super sensitive taste wise and I do not have any aftertaste or bitterness. I also have issues with diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel disease and have had no issues with the swerve after months of using it like all others. I am diabetic and it does not raise my blood sugar either. I do feel it is very expensive for what you get, especially when using as much ad I do, but most healthier alternatives unfortunately are.

**Q: This is confusing - the title says 48 oz, the descriptions say 1 lb or 16 oz, and the shipping had both weights.  I won't order unless I know size?**

You can confirm this answer by using Amazon's magnifier tool to view the bottom of the package, where it shows a Net Weight of 48 ounces.  Amazon's system recently introduced this data error - so we asked Amazon to correct the problem.

**Q: Can this be used to make royal icing that hardens?**
A: I have made butter cream and cream cheese frosting but not royal icing. It essentially works likes regular powdered sugar.

**Q: how can the shipping weight be 1 pound for a three pound bag of swerve?**
A: I had ordered a three pound bag of Swerve and it did say shipping weight was one pound. However, I did receive a three pound bag of Swerve. Go figure. All I cared about was that I received the three pounds, which I did.

**Q: Has anyone made jam or syrups from this instead of using sugar?**
A: Yes - I have made jelly both strawberry and blueberries - Tastes great.
