Probably there will be pressing mark in soft metal. **Q: Can you set it for a specific diameter and just roll it or is it just trial and error** A: The diameter of the bend you make is going to depend on the length of your stock. There is no diameter setting. Make your bends in quarter turn increments, roll and repeat. This machine is mainly for rings. If you’re trying to make decorative bends that can be achieved but not exactly what it’s for. Simple enough! I used a file to cut a nick in the adjuster knob so I could count turns and get back to a previous point of adjustment. Very helpful. If you want to make multiple rings cut multiple pieces of stock and run them all through, one pass each before you adjust the knob. This is a low cost tool so don’t expect too much. If you are working around your house and need a part now and then it will do fine. If you are planning on using this tool to make money with it it will probably drive you nuts!
