Came in a well packaged plastic case and was in perfect condition! The weight of the package impressed me as I picked it up. Once open, I was truly impressed by the knife. It had a steel shank from front to back and a heavy wood grip. If this came with a leather case, it would make a great knife for hunting/camping carry! Very sharp too. Wish I had this knife several years ago!
