This tape is made of water based acrylic adhesive and its benefits include the following: 1.) I had to store it in a closet when not actively packing boxes and I felt a bit light-headed after being around the tape for prolonged periods of time. But hey, the trade off in cost is worth it to me. The few rolls I didn't use I have had for a few weeks now and they no longer smell. If you can, I would suggest purchasing this tape a couple weeks before you plan to use it and allow it to off-gas in a closet or outside.
