Most eye masks put direct pressure on your eyes to stay in place, but the Travel Halo instead uses a flap of flexible material almost like a baseball hat to shield your eyes. The tightness to stay in place is around the crown of your head and not your eyes. The only thing I don’t like is the 2 mini pillows built into the band around your head. If you are using it in a recliner or bed and turn your head to the side they become uncomfortable and awkward. Wasn’t happy about red as the only color choice.
