Review: Better than most reviews let on! - I felt a real need to write a review to counter some of the negativity regarding this product, because much of it comes from a lack of comprehensive understanding about phosphorus based paints in the first place. First you have to understand the physics of phosphorus GLOW IN THE DARK paint, because this is a UV reflective paint, the paint itself coats and reflects UV light away from the phosphate crystals used to create the glow, so that makes it more difficult to charge than if it is in a clear or white based paint that allows more light to hit the particles. That being said this paint actually does glow, but you need more than a standard lamp or sunlight to charge it, you need a UV light! It also varies because of the color, darker colors like blue are much more dim and don't last as long as brighter colors like yellow. The longest any of them will last is about 15 minuets, which is about standard for this type of product. There are some phenomenal products that will glow for hours, but they are also only come in white or cream day colors, because as I stated, the neon day light color impacts the effectiveness of the glow. Another thing that needs to be taken into account is keeping it mixed-up properly, if you don't stir it, shake it and keep it mixed, the phosphorus particles tend to settle to the bottom and group together, meaning part of the paint on top may not have much or any glowing factors in it. This is an acrylic paint, so it's good for most plastica and wood, stone, ect., but it is water based so it will not handle long exposure to outdoor elements and rain, and as I've said, it takes more than just sunlight to charge it. I have a little UV pin light that actually works pretty good, and the neon colors reflect very well, then it will glow for a short time when removed. I bought this paint to use on projects like highlights on some of my action figures, to make the eyes reflect back and glow at night, so far I have no dissapoint considering the nature of the product. Maybe some folks expectations are a bit too high, but honestly this product works fine for the unique nitch it's meant to fill!

**Q: Is it acryllic or oil based paint?**
A: Acrylic

**Q: What type of paint is this; acrylic, enamel, oil, or what?**
A: I think it's acrylic - regardless it's water soluble.  When painting, make sure to wear cloths you don't mind getting paint on.  You won't see the paint on your cloths till you're in black light.

**Q: Can i blend the colors together like orange and yellow?**
A: Sure. Just like you can with any paint

**Q: Do these have to be charged up with a black light or require black light at all times? if anyone has been to edc, would it look good there? idk if they have black light or not**
A: Idk what edc is but the paints do not need to be charged. They glow whenever they are under black lights; however, under regular light they look like regular paint. The colors (on black fabric) aren’t as vibrant ... the purple and blue are almost undetectable unless under black light, the red is a darker red, the pink  and orange both have a reddish look, and the yellow and green almost looks translucent. The colors show, but I strongly recommend they be used for black light purposes otherwise it just looks like icky paint colors (on black fabric, I didn’t try the paint on any other colored fabrics). ### ⭐ Wasted my money :| Very disappointing, doesn't glow at all

When I saw the reviews I had a lot of faith that this product would be good quality however it was a disappointment. When I used the product I mixed it well as instructed then, as shown in the picture, tested all the colors and how they would look on different surface colors. After that I put it directly under a light for 20 minutes then turned off the all the lights to see the luminosity of the glow. I thought it would glow as the color of the paint as advertised but everything was a faint white. Along with it being dim, only a few of the colors even glowed. I tried giving it a chance at redemption by layering it in thicker coats and setting it under light for a longer period of time however it barely made a difference. I wouldn’t recommend buying this product, don't waste your money.
