## Description

Drontal (praziquantel/pyrantel pamoate) tablets will remove tapeworms (Dipylidium Caninum, Taenia taeniaeformis), hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme), and large roundworms (Toxocara cati) in cats and kittens. Drontal (praziquantel/pyrantel pamoate) broad spectrum dewormer for cats and kittens are scored for easy breakage. Each tablet contains 18.2 mg praziquantel and 72.6 mg pyrantel base as pyrantel pamoate. Tapeworms transmitted by fleas will likely recur unless measures are taken to control fleas. Flea control procedures must include insecticide treatment of the cat's environment (i.e. bedding and resting areas) as well as direct treatment of the cat with topical solutions, dips, powders, sprays or approved insecticides.

Review: Occasionally, my outside or inside cats do get worms and it's extremely expensive and costly to go to the vet along with trying to get them to get you a prescription for this. It's extremely nice and easy that I am able to get these on desertcart for a bulk price and just have it shipped to me which last a long time. My last bottle was years ago and I just finally had to get a new one so I came here to get it. Like others have said or if you don't know mixing this with any kind of food, the cat immediately knows or senses the smell in it, and they won't eat it the best way to get them to eat. It is to give them the proper dosage of the pill and be super quick and super fast and shoving that pill down their throat not literally but doing it as quickly as you can and that does make it easy. My one tip is you have to be quick and fast with holding them and putting the pill down or they do get fidgety at least in my case my cats do and it's a nightmare after that if I've already tried, and I'm too slow, but it does a great job of getting rid of the worms when they do get it and I don't have to worry about it.

The most important step is adding a generous amount of Churu lickable cat treat on top to help them take it more easily. A: I treat my 2 indoor cats once every 6 months and my sister's outdoor cat every month
When I started I gave them ond dose followed by a follow up 7-10 days later

**Q: Did you guys spend 219$ on this?**
A: For those saying you can buy at chewy for $5.... I thought the same and went to buy it from chewy thinking even paying ship would be cheaper than this... but and it's a big but, it was for 1 tablet.10 tablets was $54. and 50 tablets would be $270. I took a screenshot but couldn't add it here. Don't go to chewy and buy it thinking you'll get 50 for $5.49 bc you won't. Pic shows a bottle of 50 but it's only for 1 pill if you look further down.

**Q: what is the expiration date on current stock?**
A: I purchased it back in 2017.  It has been used up now.  It wasn't expired meds and no complaints.

If you’re on the fence with this because of the price, trust me it’s worth it. I have multiple cats, so that made my decision easier but most importantly, I needed to help my lil boy out. He had been throwing up and having diarrhea AND scooting his booty across my floors and I just knew he had tapeworms. I also invaded his privacy in the litter box and saw the little white segments. Personally, giving him the pills wasn’t difficult. There’s a seam in the middle of the pill to easily cut it in half and I would recommend doing that. He weighs about 13 pounds so I gave him two pills, cutting them in half, equaling four slices. I think the easiest way to administer these is just directly in the mouth. Make sure ur kitty is calm, I fed him, brushed him, and just overall gave him lots of love beforehand. And then I held him to my side opened his mouth, and popped one slice in his mouth and held it closed. After each slice I used a small medicine cup to give him some water( it’s easier if you have a syringe but I couldn’t find mine). And then I just made sure he was calm afterwards and repeated the process until I gave him the entire dose. It takes about 20-30 minutes for medicine to be absorbed into the body, so if your kitty throws up after that I wouldn’t recommend administering another dose. About four hours later my boy went to the litter box and did his business and OMG sure enough the full thing was in there. It almost looks like a piece of ribbon, nasty. It’s only day two but he’s much better. I really recommend this stuff even though I know it’s not cheap it’s worth it.
