Review: seems to work well but not so easy to light - I used one of the light bulb + sticky pad traps as an indicator of the amount of fleas present. 50+ overnight was bad! Having used a smoke bomb overnight in the room, the next night the count was a more modest 6 or 7. Of course the monitor also affects the population, although the purpose of course is getting rid of the problem, rather than doing controlled science experiments. I used a different sticky pad type after the first night because these new ones were cheaper, but they do nevertheless seem to work. Again not a good ‘control’, but it is what I did. Unless the whole house is simultaneously done there is a risk of transfer, so it is not necessarily the bomb at fault for non-ideal performance. I would say that they are hard to light. I used a long match rather than a standard match. The fuse was resting against the inside wall of the plastic body which made it harder to light. I therefore eased the fuse gently away from the wall, making it more central. Still hard to light thought. Don’t try to use a cigarette lighter! Remember it is a “smoke” bomb. The room will smell a bit smoky for a day, even after good ventilation.

**Q: Does this soak into fabric furniture of bedding and make it smell?**
A: The instructions say keep at least a metre away from soft furnishings. I didn’t use mine because they had no touch paper to light them. I guess any smell left would go away if you open the windows afterwards. Hope that helps

**Q: Does this stop spiders**
A: not that we noticed we used around 12 in total over around 3 weeks and didnt see any dead spiders onhly alive ones

**Q: Would I need to leave my flat after setting the bombs? Would my cats need to be out of the room too?**
A: The best way is to do a room at a time, making sure the door is tightly closed and put a towel at the bottom of the door. Both you and the kitty’s should not be close to the bombs and make sure the rest of the flat is well ventilated. The instructions should be on the packet. Hope this helps.

Performance was great it done exactly what it says it will and it’s easy to use. However. It’s incredibly hard to use if you have many animals or fish/ lizards ect as covering them or moving tanks is a nightmare. Also have to wash everything after use making it a very long job. They are quite expensive but well worth it. I wouldn’t say the safety is great either. Could do with selling them in kits. But generally quite pleased.
