I have been an avid follower of the band since I was 12, all the way back to the 91025 EP and have yet to be disappointed by a new album, this one is no different. Few follows suit with He Is Legend's other work by once again mixing a new flair into their work while at the same time paying homage to earlier material. Songs like Air Raid, Sand and Gold Dust sound as if they are inspired by the speed and technicality of the It Hates You album, while songs like Beaufort and Silent gold are more reminiscent of albums like Suck Out the Poison or I Am Hollywood. Another throwback to Suck Out The Poison stylings are the dark, overtly aggressive tones in The Garden and The Vampire, but unique to this album is the level of what could almost be described as grunge in both of these songs. There are also a few songs in the Heavy Fruit styling, particularly the clean guitar and vocals in the songs Call Ins and Eastern Locust. To me, tracks Fritz The Dog and Jordan are in a style new and unique to their work but are AWESOME nonetheless. Overall, this album rocks just as hard as I hoped it would. It is distinctly He Is Legend, while at the same time fresh and unique. If you haven't already, purchase it. You wont be disappointed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Fantastic Album--better than Heavy Fruit, IMHO. *by M***8 on June 6, 2017* I've been a longtime fan of HIL and--to the dismay of fanboys everywhere--wrote a mediocre review of Heavy Fruit. I found that album lacking in memorable songs and good riffs. I'm pleased to say that "few" is a better album with more highlights than Heavy Fruit. The first half of this CD is really good though I find a few of the songs in the second half a little lackluster. Air Raid, Beaufort, Silent Gold, and Alley Cat are really stellar songs. If you have 5 tracks and 4 of them are killer, you're doing well. Jordan is pretty good. Gold Dust, and Call Ins are the low points for me. The Vampyre and The Garden are mediocre. Fritz is pretty good and Eastern Locust is, for me, the best song in the second half of the album.The production quality is really good with everything crisp and clear and only improving in nuance when you put on a good pair of headphones. Lyrically, the songs are what you'd expect from He Is Legend. There's a lot of quirk, mystery, and metaphor. There are some really memorable lines and lines you'll love to sing/scream along with. To my dismay, a few tracks simply retread more anti-religious sentiment. Shocking, right? Metal hasn't covered that topic nearly enough yet. *yawn*For whatever reason, HIL remain overlooked in metal and I can't figure it out for the life of me. Every time they release an album it contains at least two tracks that I consider to be among the top 5 metal songs for ALL of that year's releases.I'll conclude with my favorite tracks in order from amazing to snoozy:1.Silent Gold2. Call Ins ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BUY THIS ALBUM IMMEDIATELY *by J***E on April 26, 2019* All 12 songs on this album are phenomenal. “Few” is like the dark, sexy, metal love child of “I am Hollywood” and “Suck Out the Poison.” Once I put the cd in I haven’t been able to stop listening. The songs “Call ins” and “Eastern Locust” are a masterpiece of their own.
