This large cutting mat is self-healing and is also used as a quilting mat, fabric cutting board, modeling mat, or craft cutting board. - SELF-HEALING - The self healing mat 24 x 36 consists of 5 layers of different PVC materials. When an incision is made, the top layers of the black cutting mat contract together to hide the cut and keep the surface flat. - SUSTAINABLE - The two underlying layers of the fabric cutting mat 24x36 are made from strong recycled PVC, which reduces the environmental footprint of our product. The middle layer gives the sewing mat robustness. To maintain quality, do not bend the cutting mat for sewing 24 x 36. - PROFESSIONAL GRID - Both sides of the hobby mat feature a precise 36x24" imperial patchwork grid. Many other mats offer a smaller grid, but ours ensures the grid is exactly the advertised size. The patterns and text are professionally applied, ensuring long-lasting readability. - COLOR & SIZE - Elan 24x36 cutting mat has two colors. This hobby mat is black on one side and taupe on the other. Elan hobby cutting mat is available with an imperial grid for sizes 36x48, 24x36, 18x24, 12x18, 9x12 inch. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09LR2GBNN | | Additional Features | Sustainable and Self-healing | | Best Sellers Rank | #10,545 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #39 in Quilting Cutting Mats | | Brand Name | Elan | | Color | Black, Taupe | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (4,175) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08720165932191 | | Included Components | No Other Included Components | | Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness | 36"L x 24"W x 0.12"Th | | Item Highlight | 5-Ply Craft Mat with Imperial Grid on Both Sides, Made with Recycled PVC, 3mm Thick, Cut Resistant, for Sewing & Quilting | | Item Type Name | Cutting Mats | | Item Weight | 2.15 kg | | Manufacture Year | 2023 | | Manufacturer | BG Productions | | Manufacturer Part Number | ElanCuttingMatB07N1MB6YB | | Material Type | Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) | | Model Number | CuttingmatA1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Pattern | Graphic | | Product Care Instructions | Hand wash with cold water. Make sure to remove cloth threads before washing, let the mat dry completely before usage and avoid bending the mat in any part of the process. **Q: Which grid is on the mats?** A: We offer our cutting mats with imperial markings. **Q: How does the self-healing layer work?** A: The self-healing layer allows most of the cuts in the mat to heal, without leaving significant traces. Thanks to the unique material used in the layers, most of the cuts will be restored. **Q: Are cutting mats heat resistant?** A: No, when exposed to too much heat the cutting mat can bend or even melt. This can compromise the effectiveness of the mat for its intended purposes. ## Frequently Bought Together - Elan Cutting Mat A1 Black & Taupe, Large Self Healing Cutting Mat 24 x 36 Inch, 5-Ply Craft Board Black, Hobby Board for Crafts 24x36 Inch - Fiskars 60mm Rotary Cutter for Fabric with Ergonomic Loop Grip And Comfort Handle, Titanium Rotary Fabric Cutter for Thick Materials, Easy and Safe Blade Change, Sewing Supplies and Quilting Tools - Fiskars Sewing Ruler (6"x 24") - Sewing and Quilting Ruler with Gridlines - Arts and Craft Supplies - Clear/Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/431420026-elan-large-self-healing-cutting-mat-24-x-36-inch](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/431420026-elan-large-self-healing-cutting-mat-24-x-36-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
