The ballpoint pen the first time I tried to write on it it wouldn't write so I tested it out scribbled on another piece of paper and then tried writing again and it wrote fine. Not sure if it was the paper or the pen itself. The zebra gel pen smears very badly and does not dry. I haven't tried other types of mediums since those seem to be the three main ones that most people are going to use and the ones that I use the most.
