We bought this thing last spring for al pastor over our firepit. The batteries lasted all day slow roasting the meat and it was amazing. We forgot about it, and not only did it sit through an Arizona summer, but it was rained on a few times and had been exposed to the elements for about a year with the batteries in. When we decided to use it again this spring, not only were the batteries still in great condition with enough charge to do another full slow roast of al pastor, but there was no corrosion anywhere inside the unit, and the whole thing worked as if it was still brand new!

This thing is a beast. Not in size, it's super compact and has a pretty small footprint. But the value for the money is amazing. We bought this thing last spring for al pastor over our firepit.
