**Q: How loud is this sander on a scale of 1-10?**
A: On a scale of 1-10, I would put it's loudness at about a 4 or 5. It's not exactly 'quiet,' but I can play music on my shop speaker at a reasonable volume, and still be able to hear it while sanding/grinding.On a related note - this is an AMAZING sander! It's a little on the pricey side, but worth every penny. I've done precision work on it with everything from hardwood to bone/antler, to high-carbon steel (scale and all)

**Q: Is this machine good to use for grinding knife bevels? If it is, is it good for long term grinding**
A: It will sand bevels, it won't do hollow grinds because the large drive wheel is blocked by the motor. And yes it will sand/grind for long periods.

**Q: are you able to tilt the sanding assembly to be flat, or close to it?**
A: Yes, you can tilt it completely horizontal or vertical, or anything in between.

**Q: Can you sharpen lawnmower blades**
A: Yes, absolutely. You have to have some idea of the correct angle to sharpen blades at, but this is what I use to sharpen pretty much everything!(hint: 22* for fine-edged knives, 28* for utility blades)
