In my experience the lenox brand one mostly sucks. Wondering how much better this one works** A: Not sure exactly which 'Lenox deburrer' you're referring to but generally deburrers fall into 3 categories; the ones that are attached to the pipe cutters, the ones that have a cranked sharpened 'blade' and these ones. Ive used all types of these and this particular deburrer by rigid blows them all out of the water for ease of use, effectiveness and longevity. Ive used it on copper, brass, aluminium and plastic tubing and haven't seen any tool that does this job better. Simply put the tool over the end and twist, then turn it over and do the same thing again and both inside and outside edges of the tube are deburred/chamferred. Couldn't be easier. **Q: in what country is it made?** A: Ridgid has plants in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Ohio. Some of their tools are also manufactured in Germany, Switzerland and China. I don't know where this particular burring tool is made, but it is an excellent product and up to Ridgid's standards of high quality. **Q: How does this compare to the reed deb200 tool of similar construction but covers a larger range of pipe?** A: Upon looking they are essentially the same by design. I would buy either one. **Q: Does this also clean the outside of pipe? Similar to using sandpaper** A: No, this only reams the end of the pipe, cleaning up burs and chamfering the edges. You need a pipe brush for what you are needing or emery cloth. You should clean the inside and outside of a pipe. I recommend having both emery cloth and a brush. Buy a pipe brush that has both an inside brush on one end and a bristle hole in the middle, they are cheap and work good.
