I did prefer the old version but that was out of stock and not available anymore. And yes that now wasn't as sharp and had screws to hold the plate in and more plastic. This one Yes it's ABIT cheap and might come apart but it just clicks back on. It's well worth it for the price and what it does. I mainly only get it for the electric razor side then get normal razor I'm used to differently from Tesco for my legs . But Just thought I'd let u know that I recommend it and yes u have to keep buying batteries but for the price/time and how easy it is to use And u get that close shave then id go with it.
