The battery life is good. The volume on the other hand was very loud. Plus whenever you lower the volume it would work for the second you lowered it and then return back to the very loud volume. It was very annoying. Long behold, what "they say," is true= YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Yes, its awesome to find a device (in your Childs favorite color =green) that serves due purpose, DVD & Tablet. The DVD worked fine... the tablet took longer than expected to set-up and then kept turning off by itself once set up. SUPER aggravating. I charged it over night and it was okay for a day and then started acting up again. Also, it being a "PBS" device they cater to their network... so if your child isn't SUPER INTO PBS this won't be for them. I returned my device and instead ordered the AMAZON FIRE 7.
