## Description

Story: on 14 July, the national holiday in France, the sheep, chickens and cows are set free in the town of carcassonne. The children have great fun to catch the animals before dusk. The players in turn draw a landscape tile and place it; unlike in normal carcassonne, they always match. Amongst other features, the tiles show children in the player colours on the roads. Whenever a road is finished, every player places one of his meeples on each appropriate picture. The first player who manages to place all of his meeples wins the game.

Review: Great for younger children! - We love Carcassone and have been looking for board games to play with our little boy who is now 4.5. This has been very well received. He understood quickly what to do and how to play. The tile set and rules have bern revamped to make this version very accessible to children, there is an element of strategy but not as complex as adult carcassone understandably. Strongly recommend this.

**Q: Will the standard base game be duplicate with kids version? Same titles or can they mix with kids version?**
A: Normal Carcassonne can NOT be combined with kids' Carcassonne (according to my son- I had gotten this for my granddaughter)

**Q: What’s the difference between my first carcassone and carcasonne kid’s game versions?**
A: They are completely different games.

**Q: We were given my first carcassonne as a gift a few years ago. does this work well with an expansion set, or will i need to get a standard set first?**
A: This is a version for kids. There is a regular version of Carcassonne that has many different expansion packs you can purchase.

**Q: Can't decide between My 1st Carcassonne Game or Race to the Treasure by Peaceable Kingdom... a gift for a 7yo with siblings 3 & 4yrs. Any thoughts?**
A: Can't really speak to "Race to the Treasure" since I don't have it. What I can tell you is that we got My 1st Carcassonne for my then 3.5y old son, he played with it (mostly with me) about once a week for 3-4 months and then got tired of it as the challenge was gone and the game had devolved to the level of Candyland. He still asks for it about once a month, but it's mostly as a pasttime.

I wish I could give it ten stars! My husband and I love Carcassone, but our kids just aren’t quite ready for it. This one was easy to learn (under five minutes to set up and know the rules!) and both my five and eleven year olds give it rave reviews. My five year old hasn’t quite grasped the strategy, but I can already see my eleven yea4 old getting there. It took about 20 minutes to play, and my husband and I agreed it would be fun even without the kids when we want something a little faster and lighter to play. Simple, well made, easy to play, but packed full of strategy and family fun. I can see us playing this for years to come. It’s a quick game as well; you can have great family time in a meaningful way. I hesitated a5 the cost, but I regret not getting it sooner. When the kids are older I have no doubt they will easily transition to the adult game.
